The initial situation
Our client is a big name in the smart home sector with a focus on security (cameras, motion detectors, alarms, lights, etc.) and was looking for channels to attract new customers and present their brand to potential customers. As one of our main topics at BASIC thinking is technology, we had a good target group fit here.
From our years of experience with hundreds of clients and thousands of campaigns, we knew that we wanted to build this advertorial campaign as a classic problem solver.
What did we do?
We have therefore decided to address the problems and needs of potential customers directly: Fear of burglars and the need for security in their own homes – especially in the darker months of the year. We have therefore addressed the problem in the title, the introduction and the article image and presented the appropriate solutions for more security in the subsequent advertorial. We also included several short instructions to take away potential customers‘ worries about complicated installations and equipment – with success!
